Scholars in Residence Program

The Benson Center has funding on an annual basis to support scholars who wish to spend an academic year in Boulder as Junior Scholars in Residence affiliated with the Center. Duties of the junior scholars in residence include a two-course teaching load (one course a semester) in the department of the applicant’s area of expertise. To be a suitable candidate for these positions, scholars must be able to make a strong case for their ability to contribute to the Center’s mission. To learn more about the experience of a Benson Center scholar in residence, see Five Questions for Tim Burkhardt. The number of junior scholars the Center hires depends on available funding and may vary year to year. Interested applicants should continue to check the Benson Center website for openings.
