Photojournalists share their insight into Iraq at CWCTP event

In February of this year, the Center for Western Civilization, Thought & Policy hosted the event, "Embedded in Iraq: Journalists Encounter the Islamic State," inviting two photojournalists to speak about their profession. New York-based freelancer Victor Blue and retired U.S. Army Special Forces Lieutenant Colonel and CU Boulder alum Mitch Utterback discussed their work documenting war, conflict, and disaster zones on the ground in Iraq and locations around the world. Both men highlighted the importance of journalistic integrity while photographing in physically and emotionally trying conditions while trying to maintain transparency and accuracy in their work. The event was filmed by CSPAN.
