The Benson Center for the Study of Western Civilization has a part-time undergraduate paid internship position available. Applications are being accepted now on Handshake, with work to begin August 9, 2021.
Work with the Benson Center team on a mix of the following, depending on need and interest: podcast management, web and social media content, updates, and analytics, onboarding visiting faculty, event planning, logistics and implementation, speaker travel arrangements and live event support; finance and accounting support such as invoice processing, expense reconciliation and tracking; general office support such as answering the phone, greeting visitors, and other administrative duties as needed; and special project support as assigned. Work will be on campus with potential for some remote. Training provided. The successful candidate has a working knowledge of MS Office suite, Google Drive and other basic office software, can work well independently, is professional and positive, has good customer service skills, is attentive to detail and has a demonstrated interest in Western Civilization and/or current affairs as demonstrated by their declared major/minor or previous work, intern or volunteer experience. Experience in or willingness to learn office, project management, website, social media, photography/live event filming, and related skills. Experience in Adobe Audition and Premier Pro desirable but not required.
