Step 1
What to expect
Each week you will engage in two, 1.5-hour sessions of remote, live learning via Zoom with the instructor and other students (classes are generally capped at 20 students). This class time will be structured with interactive conversation activities and games. You will need a fast and stable internet connection along with a high-quality camera + microphone (a headset is recommended) to have the best experience. Zoom sessions will be recorded and available to enrolled students.
Additional learning material will be hosted online in Canvas (a learning management platform) for you to complete at your convenience. These out-of-class activities include games, discussion forums and practice quizzes, and utilize technology tools that are free and easy to use (no experience needed). Your instructor will guide you on how to access and interact with these engaging platforms.
Bonus! Enrolled students have access to all course content plus a collection of films for a full month after the class ends.

Step 2
Choose your classes
All classes meet live, twice a week on Zoom in the evening, Mountain Time. MW = Mondays and Wednesdays, TR = Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Our summer series classes are designed for those with no prior experience, and students will gain beginning-level exposure to the language and culture through the theme of travel! Content may include introducing yourself to a hotel receptionist, ordering food at a restaurant, asking for directions, and trying your hand at cooking a cultural dish!
Students with a prior background in the language are welcome to join and will be provided with some higher-level materials to use outside of class time. We invite you to travel virtually around the globe with us to get a taste of these amazing languages!
