Census 2020
The census is a nationwide effort conducted every 10 years to accurately count the number of people living in the United States. Census results directly affect resources available to CU Boulder students, faculty and staff.
Your count in the census matters and can make a difference.
Census information is updated due to COVID-19
Your count in the census matters and can make a difference. Don’t let COVID-19 stop you from participating. We are still conducting the census, but we have adjusted our process.
Even if you are temporarily living somewhere else due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you should be counted where you live for most of the year in Boulder. This is important, because it impacts how billions of dollars in federal funding will be distributed to our community for services that affect you, including school safety, mental health services and Pell Grants.
All students should inform their parents not to count them in their survey unless they live with their parents for most of the year.
