Hello! My name is Christina Fang, and I am so excited to be a part of Cultural Events Board. I am a sophomore, studying Sociology, Psychology, and Chinese. Originally, I am from Naperville, Illinois, a fun suburb near Chicago. I am a general member for Cultural Events Board, and I am loving it! I just joined this semester because I saw an advertisement asking for applicants, and I realized this program would be perfect for me! I am super passionate about minorities receiving proper representation both in the media and on campus, and I knew that I could make a difference by providing a platform for others to share their story. I am Asian-American, and I love to promote Asian representation in the media. I believe it is important for all people of all cultures to see people that look like them in the stories that they read, watch, or listen to. That’s why my favorite kids movie is Mulan. If you don’t see me tabling for a Cultural Events Board event, you will probably either see me tabling for Sustainability Outreach Team or The Bee Club. And if you do ever see me, I am probably wearing the color yellow because it is my favorite color. Thank you so much for reading a bit about me! I can’t wait to see what the rest of this school year has in store. Have a great day!
