    1. The Cultural Events Board aims to broaden cultural knowledge by supporting the voices of underrepresented and misrepresented groups on campus, thereby promoting student engagement with their platforms. The Cultural Events Board encourages opportunities for interaction among students resulting in respect, appreciation, and understanding for cultural differences.

      2. If I recall correctly, clothing has been purchased several times in the past. For the sake of sustainability and for good use of funding, what’s happening to those? 

      3. There were some issues in the past with reimbursements and a lack of reconciliations. Is there a plan moving forward to ensure that all of the funding is organized in a timely manner?

        1. Will try to buy as much as they can through CSI so that they don’t need to rely on reimbursements as much.

      4. At your last spring event, it started very late. There were also lulls in the show where people were confused and were not seated when your MCs were speaking. What is your plan to rectify these issues and ensure everything moves along smoothly? 

      5. Is there any reason why you only have Samosas, Chai, and Fruit at your event? Seeing as it ends at 10 pm people are going to be hungry and we can fund much more, even through a restaurant if you were to get an exemption

      1. Annual community event that surrounds the community, culture, legality, and history of psychedelics

      2. Somewhat replaced the Norlin Quad Smokeout

      3. Have speakers that talk about the intellectual side of psychedelics and medicine

      4. Planning to host the event virtually

        1. Wanda James: working to remove the stigma and shed light on the racial inequities

        2. William Leonard Pickard: Arrested in the largest LSD manufacturing case, also anticipated the opioid crisis

        3. Monica Cadena: writer, yogi, and has a large media presence, medicinal healer 

      8. Relevance: aimed at the culture around psychedelics and the racial and social inequities within it

      1. Building a safe space for students of Asian heritage

    3. Questions

      1. You mentioned you plan to have another performer who has a greater influential status in the general public and is culturally relevant, who is that? Will you need funding for this individual, do you have a quote? Your performers should be pretty solidified going into your pre-spending meeting or before next Monday. 

      2. A major requirement for CEB is that events are open to all students and cannot be selective in who is allowed to attend. While you can certainly invite sepcifc orgs and encourage them to come, you cannot keep the event exclusive to members of those orgs as this violates CEB bylaws

        1. As it currently stands you only have 25 seats available for the general campus population. This is simply not enough when compared to how many students you are inviting from orgs. Are you flexible to change aspects of your event to ensure that it is more open to the general public?

          1. Could include changing the venue and the caterer to bring the price per person down significantly. This will allow you to cater to a larger audience while keeping the same budget.

    4. They are aware that we do not take old or placeholder quotes.

      1. They played a lot of different types of music

      2. The cultural relevance was def lacking

    7. The food system that’s being descried is the exact system from last year

    8. Overall this event almost entirely mirrors the Israel Fest 2022 event run by Hillel that got them put on probation for a multitude of reasons.

      1. The event mirrors Hillel’s event not only in its design but also in the team that is putting it on

        1. Design choices and the manner in which certain Hillel team members communicated with CEB is a large  factor of why Hillel was placed oon probation…
