In the Environmental Engineering Program laboratories, Stefan aids students and researchers with their work by teaching them how to operate analytical instrumentation and equipment. Stefan also creates standard operating procedures for analytical instrumentation and maintains and troubleshoots issues with laboratory instruments/equipment. He received my B.S. in Biology from Buena Vista University and M.S. in biology from Georgia Southern University. Stefan has participated in a wide variety of aquatic research including fisheries, invasive species, aquatic toxicology, and limnology while working for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, US Fish and Wildlife Service, University of Iowa – State Hygienic Lab, and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, playing basketball, and shooting photography.
