Professor Rosario-Ortiz meets with governor of Puerto Rico

On Oct. 5, Fernando Rosario-Ortiz had the opportunity to meet with the governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Roselló. Roselló was visiting CU Boulder as part of a presentation to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.

During their meeting, Rosario-Ortiz discussed the work that he and other researchers in environmental engineering had done regarding water quality in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The governor offered his support for the work being conducted by Rosario-Ortiz and his team, and they discussed opportunities for further collaboration. The team includes Mark HernandezJulie Korak and graduate student Melanie Warren.
