American Institute of Indian Studies

The American Institute of Indian Studies (AIIS) offers a wide variety of opportunities for students and scholars interested in traveling to India or doing research on India. Their services include assistance for travel to India including visa applications, travel arrangements, and financial arrangements. Additionally, AIIS oversees the Center for Art and Archaelogy (CAA), which purposes to advance the knowledge resources of the South Asian region. AIIS has created the Archives and research Center for Ethnomusicology (ARCE) with the goal of brining together recorded collections of the music and oral traditions of India in order to support documentation, preservation, and dissemination. AIIS also supports intensive language study and research fellowships.

The American Institute for Sri Lankan Studies (AISLS) 

AISLS was established in 1995 to foster excellence in American research and teaching on Sri Lanka, and to promote the exchange of scholars and scholarly information between the United States and Sri Lanka. The Institute serves as the professional association for US-based scholars and other professionals who are interested in Sri Lanka.

Asian Politics and History Association is a non-political, non-profit academic society organized by scholars of Asian studies. Established in 2011 in Hong Kong, APHA currently has members from Asian-Pacific, European and North American countries. APHA supports the Journal of Asian Politics & History, an academic journal published twice a year beginning in October 2012.

A non-profit international educational organization with partners in more than 60 different countries, Youth For Understanding is one of the world’s oldest, largest and most respected intercultural exchange programs. More than 250,000 students and their host families have benefited from the support and expertise of YFU.
