Join CAS for our next Asian Borderlands event on Thursday, April 6 with Hjorleiffur Jonsson! The event will be held in the British and Irish Studies room in Norlin at CU Boulder. Reception will begin at 4:30, followed by the keynote address from 5:00 - 6:30. A Q&A session will conclude the event from 6:30 - 7:00. 

Keynote Hjorleiffur Jonsson of Arizona State University will present "Mosquito-Relish Diplomacy: Civil Pluralism in the Asian Borderlands.”  Emperor Ping’s Charter, a document regarding Yao people in China’s south, is of questionable veracity according to modern scholarship. CU faculty respondents Chris Hammons (Anthropology), Ben Joffe (Anthropology), and Kwangmin Kim (History) will continue the discussion.
