Rob Dam is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Leeds School of Business. He earned his Ph.D. in finance at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also holds a Master of Public Policy in international affairs from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
His research is primarily in corporate finance, with a particular interest in mergers and acquisitions. His recent papers look at the effect of the several month delay between deal announcement and completion on deal terms, deal activity, and ex post outcomes.
Prior to becoming an academic, Rob spent 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. He accumulated over 3,500 hours of flight time in 5 different aircraft, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel and Command Pilot in November of 2014.
Rob will be teaching Corporate Finance, FINC 3010, in the fall of 2015.
