Muxin Zhai is a post-doc research associate in the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder. She received her PhD in economics, M.A in Economics from the University of Washington - Seattle, and B.S. in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Iowa.
Muxin's work employs various quantitative methods to solve empirical questions in multidisciplinary fields that span marketing, economics, public policy, and behavioral science. In her recent work, she analyzes the impact of retirement plan generosity on employees' 401(k) contributions and cashing out leakage at job termination. Her dissertation focuses on the effectiveness of environmental policy (e.g., Low Emission Zone in London, Air Quality Standards in the US) in regulating emission behaviors and promoting prenatal health.
