Originally from the Washington, DC area, Marie earned her M.Ed. from the University of Virginia and her B.A. from Dickinson College. She is currently working on her Project Management certificate, and she most recently completed certificates in Business Management and Women in Leadership from Cornell University.

Prior to joining Leeds, Marie worked in international education with IES Abroad, Semester at Sea, The American School in Switzerland and Summer Discovery in Italy. She's also worked in academic and student affairs at Georgetown University, Sweet Briar College and Dickinson College, where her higher education responsibilities spanned the entire student life cycle from recruitment through alumni engagement.

Since joining the Leeds School of Business Marie has also served as the Program Director for the CU Business Intensive Certificate (CUBIC) and Leeds Global Initiatives. She spent two years on the Leeds Staff Council and has pursued a number of campus trainings including the University Perspectives program, Managers Academy, Crucial Conversations, Emotional Intelligence, Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), Mental Health First-Aid, Anti-Racism Challenge, UndocuALLY and various CliftonStrengths workshops.

Outside of work, she stays busy as a cyclist, a yogi, a food enthusiast and a mom to her rambunctious five-year-old son, Henry, and her sweet Goldendoodle, Pepper Pecoraro.
