
Liza Barnes is a 5th year Ph.D. Candidate in Organizational Behavior at the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business, graduating in 2023. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., she earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan in Organizational Studies and then spent several years working in healthcare consulting and client operations. Currently, her research focuses on understanding the complexities of relationships at work. She is specifically interested in (1) how employees build and repair relationships, (2) how relationship quality affects and is affected by identity construction and (3) how relationships can be a source of safety during times of crisis. Liza's work has been published in PLOS One, Organizational Psychology Review, and Harvard Business Review.
