Joanne Zeas is an accomplished human resources leader with over two decades of progressive experience in government, education, and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the City of Longmont, she oversees HR operations for a workforce of approximatly 1,400 full and part-time employees, ensuring strategic alignment and organizational efficiency. Joanne has spearheaded multiple transformative initiatives, including a comprehensive compensation restructure, the implementation of innovative leave practices, and mental health support programs. Her leadership has also resulted in enhanced benefits offerings and successful community outreach, positioning the city as a leading employer in the region.
Previously, Joanne served as Director of Human Resources at Temple University, where she managed HR functions for several key constituencies including the School of Medicine and University Athletics. She has a track record of driving organizational growth and improving workforce engagement throughout her client portfolios.
In addition to her HR leadership roles, Joanne is a passionate educator, currently teaching as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her expertise is backed by SHRM-SCP certification and a doctorate in Educational Leadership.
