Bahriye Goren is the Faculty Director for the Business Core Curriculum and a faculty member in the Marketing Division at the Leeds School of Business. She teaches in the MBA and undergraduate program and was a finalist for the 2020 Joseph L. Frascona Teaching Excellence Award.
Bahriye’s background is in global brand strategy and innovation, with over 14 years of international experience across three continents. Bahriye worked on the client side at Unilever, and on the agency side at Wallace Church & Co. and Kantar. Former clients include American Express, Unilever, Weleda, Sony Corp., Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and MTV.
At Wallace Church, an award-winning design agency in New York, Bahriye was the Executive Director Innovation and Strategy. She was a senior consultant at Kantar in Amsterdam and New York, focused on global brands. At Unilever, her last role was regional Brand Manager for Ben & Jerry’s, where she was tasked with rolling out the popular ice cream brand across Europe.
Bahriye first started lecturing at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business in New York, where she instantly realized that teaching was one of her biggest passions. At Baruch College she taught various marketing courses in the (Executive) MBA and undergraduate programs, as well as in their satellite graduate programs in Singapore and Taiwan.
Bahriye is an Economist by schooling and did both her Master’s and undergraduate studies at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in The Netherlands. She speaks five languages and is the author of ‘Be’, a book on authentic leadership which was published in 2016.
Bahriye lives with her husband and two children in Boulder County. You will not find her on the slopes or trails, but rather looking for the best coffee and chocolate in town.
