Elizabeth (Beth) Embry is a PhD candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying entrepreneurship. With a background in public health and sustainability, Beth’s research interests focus on the entrepreneurial opportunities to address the pressing social issues of our time. Her dissertation specifically examines the intersection of sustainability, health, and business in the built environment. Prior to CU, Beth was the Director of Global Health at Saint Louis University's College for Public Health and Social Justice.  She has also worked in a variety of global and local contexts focused on health systems strengthening, program development and capacity building. Notably, she has lived and worked in Haiti, Belize, Zambia, and the Philippines with organizations including the World Health Organization, the Jesuits, and Catholic Health Association. Beth holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business from the John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University, and a Master of Public Health in International Health and Complex Humanitarian Aid from Boston University.
