Under the leadership of Dr. Thomas Thibodeau, CUREC Academic Director, a team of MBA Real Estate students, Taylor Cox, Rob Gillis, Jonathan Palmer and Matt Thomas, participated in the 2011 ARGUS University Challenge during the Spring 2011 semester over a period of months.

ARGUS Software is pleased to announce the first annual ARGUS Software University Challenge. This unique challenge gives students the opportunity to utilize their knowledge of commercial real estate by solving for real-world investment analysis scenarios. The competition provides valuable experience to aspiring real estate professionals as well as advances skills with commonly used industry tools like ARGUS Valuation - DCF, the industry standard commercial real estate cash flow projection, transaction analysis and asset valuation solution.

There were 22 universities in the competition: Cornell, Clemson, Texas A&M, University of Denver, University of Florida, Penn State, American University, UNC-Chapel Hill, UPenn-Wharton, MIT, Washington, York, San Diego, East China Normal (Shanghai), Columbia, Kingston, Dartmouth, Emory, St. Thomas, Sheffield Hallam, and Manchester Business School.

We are proud to announce that CU came in fourth among this group of schools. Congratulations to the team!
