Brian McDonald is Senior Vice President and leader of the Client Service & Support organization at Charles Schwab, a role he has held since October 2012. The organization, which provides service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to individual investors and corporate clients, includes front-line support (via phone, email, and chat), specialty services, call center technology, operations, service and support teams as well as two separate Institutional business lines - Stock Plan Services and Compliance Solutions1.
McDonald is responsible for approximately 2,000 financial services professionals working in Austin, Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis and Phoenix. His passion for seeing the business through the client’s eyes allows him to continue developing solutions to support Schwab's retail client base.
In previous roles, McDonald led the Active Trader, Core and Global Investing Client Experience teams, focused on developing strategies, which included helping clients to be successful investors and traders. He also held various leadership positions within Schwab's trading and service organization since joining the company in 1993 as a retail broker.
McDonald holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Ball State Graduate School of Business. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement, the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business Board of Directors, and the University of Colorado, Denver Business School Board of Directors.
In his free time, McDonald heads to the mountains to enjoy skiing with his wife and three kids.
