Before coming to Leeds in 2016, Bonnie Auslander taught business communications at a variety of institutions, including Duke University’s School of Business and Cornell’s Hotel School. She founded and for nine years directed the Kogod Center for Business Communications at American University in Washington, D.C. The center’s accomplishments and approach to promulgating business communications was covered by BizEd.
Also while at American University Auslander created the highly popular “audience dog” program which pairs panicked presenters with patient pooches. To date the program has been covered by the New York Times (video and article – among the most watched/ viewed of 2016), Fox News, Al Jazeera’s news channel, the Washington Post, CBS News, and a host of other publications.
Auslander, who is a published poet, essayist, and radio commentator, lives in Lyons with two cats, two teens, one geriatric dog, and one spouse, who is a scientist.
