Ashish Kothari is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Denver office. He has over 18 years of consulting experience serving companies on a range of strategy and operations topics, including accelerating top line growth, new market entry, pricing, procurement, innovation and product development, among others. He spends the majority of his time working in the consumer sector (Consumer packaged goods and Retail) but has also served clients across the packaging, high tech and industrial sectors.
Prior to joining McKinsey in November 2005, Ashish was a Principal with Charter Consulting, a Senior Consultant with Deloitte Consulting, a Manager with KPMG Consulting and a consultant with IBM Global services.
Ashish leads McKinsey’s recruiting efforts with the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business. He is also a mentor to 20+ junior McKinsey colleagues and is the regional leader for McKinsey’s Practice Olympics, a firm-wide global initiative where consultants compete annually on the most innovative ideas for serving clients. Ashish is also very active with the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business alumni program where he coaches and mentors several students and alumni.
Ashish received his M.B.A. from University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business where he was on the Deans Honor List and graduated summa cum laude. He also holds M.Tech and B.Tech degrees in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India.
He and his wife, Lizzie Kothari, and their 5 year old son, Ashwin, live in Boulder, Colorado
