Andrea Straccia serves as the Director of the Leeds Residential Academic Program, an academic and professional community for first-year students in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Andrea has focused her career on helping students make the transition from high school to college, and she has done so working with students at both the university and high school levels.
Andrea is half Argentine - half American and grew up abroad on four continents. She returned to the U.S. for college and earned her BSBA in Economics, Marketing and International Business from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. As an undergraduate student she was a Spanish 101 subsection instructor and she tutored at a local elementary school. Following her graduation, Andrea worked in the Washington U. Office of Undergraduate Admissions and focused on recruiting underrepresented students. While working she completed her Masters in International Affairs at Washington U., and later joined the Loomis Chaffee School, an independent boarding school in Connecticut. While at Loomis Chaffee Andrea served as an Associate Director of College Guidance and later as the inaugural Director of the Office of Experiential Learning & Enrichment Opportunities. She was a dormitory affiliate, led two student trips to India, and was a faculty adviser to a peer mentor program for underrepresented students.
Andrea joined the Leeds School of Business in the summer of 2015 and she loves to travel, hike and cook.
