CESR Fellows Founding Executive Board,

CESR Fellows Officers

Lauren MorrellLauren Morrell
President

Class of 2016, Finance

Why did you join the CESR Fellows Executive Board?

"CESR Fellows is exactly what my business school experience has been missing. Immersed in a world of traditional business education, it can be challenging to locate the, surprising number of students at Leeds who have a passion for using business as a tool to make a difference in the world.,I have spent a good deal of my college career researching the “sustainability movement,” and when I learned that there would be a CESR Fellows program I knew that I intimately understood the target population for this program and that I had a lot to give. Envious, in a way, of the Freshmen “impact players" who would get to connect with one another right off the bat, I cannot imagine a better way to contribute to my alma mater than to help enrich the experience of the increasing number of mission-driven students. The fact that a fellowship is being formed around topics in corporate social responsibility is a testament to the forward-thinking of this University."

And your plans for life after May?

“In the first years of my career, I hope to learn more about the practical situations in which businesses can and cannot create competitive advantage from environmental and social initiatives, and to better understand the financial and economic conditions that affect the selection and execution of such concepts.,In the long run, I hope to use this expertise to help drive the private and public sectors into creative collaboration and to contribute toward our cultural transition to more socially, environmentally and economically sustainable lifestyles."

Beyond CESR Fellows, Lauren is an active member of the Leeds Scholars Program, CU Greek Life, CU Club Triathlon Team and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center.
