By Allison Freedman, MBA 2015

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”  - Margaret Mead

On October 3rd, close to 100 CU-Boulder MBA students and community members came together to learn about “Impact Business.”

Although a single, universally accepted definition of Impact Business may still elude us – the gist of its meaning was evident through the lenses of four business executives representing a range of industries based right here in the Denver/Boulder area.

Hosted by CU-Boulder’s Net Impact Club, moderated by CESR’s Dave Payne, and organized by Matt Gettleman, MBA 2015 and McCall Perry, MBA 2015, the event allowed the panelists to offer their stories, their perspective, and their guidance on which direction Impact Business may be heading and opportunities for MBA students to incorporate this into various career trajectories.  These panelists were:

•   Deanna Bratter, Senior Manager of Sustainability, White Wave

•   Greg Berry, Managing Director, Co-Founder & Board Director, Impact HUB Boulder

•   Pete Dignan, Founder & CEO, ProtoTest

•   Steven Ellis, Founder & President, Colorado Capital Management
