As finals wrapped up at the end of the spring 2019 semester, a group of 32 undergraduate students at CU Boulder were welcomed into the BSI Scholars Summer 2019 program. These students, who are working in research laboratories across twelve different departments on the CU Boulder and Anschtuz campuses, attended a program orientation and began work in their labs.
This summer, these students will be investigating a variety of phenomena. A sampling of project titles across a few departments: Extracting and characterizing lipid biomarkers of rock-hosted microbial life; The role of CREB in Down Syndrome linked anxietry-related behaviors; Sleep and genetics in childhood; Enabling robotic capsule endoscopy; and Devloping a cellular inflammation assay for a CRISPR genome-wide screen.
We look forward to supporting these students this summer and hearing about their work!
