The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle has an exciting new internship program for undergraduates interested in cancer research. Please distribute appropriately:
Pathways Undergraduate Researchers is a one- to two-year, paid summer internship program for rising first-, second-, and third-year college students. During the summer, interns engage in nine weeks of mentored research at the Fred Hutch in Seattle, and participate in cancer biology seminars, professional development workshops, and social activities. During the school year, the program engages students at their respective colleges/universities with online workshops, continued mentorship, and academic support.
Internship research projects focus on cancer biology under one of the Center’s five divisions: Basic Sciences, Human Biology, Public Health Sciences, Clinical Research, and Vaccines and Infectious Disease.

The summer portion of the program is Late June - Late August at the Fred Hutch campus in Seattle.
2020 applications will open on January 1st and the application is due in Late February
Eligibility
- Rising 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-year student currently enrolled (or intending to enroll) in a two- or four-year U.S. university or college
- Strong scientific interest and academic background
- Commitment to the program time requirements
