Teddy joined CU Boulder in July 2019 following faculty roles at Roosevelt University (Chicago) and Oberlin College, where he taught music theory and music composition. He is a classically trained composer and pianist, holding two degrees from The Juilliard School and a doctorate from Indiana University. During his faculty days, he became increasingly interested in institutional finance, management, and problem-solving. In fall 2018 he enrolled in the weekend MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he continues to commute to Chicago every Saturday for classes.

His wife, Susan, is a professional violinist who joined the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in 2016. They have loved getting to know Colorado, and are thrilled to be working and living here full time!
