Please review the ATLAS Style Guide below before designing ATLAS visual assets. Per CU Boulder brand guidelines, the ATLAS wordmark must always be used in conjunction with a CU Boulder logo (either CU Boulder only or College of Engineering and Applied Science). Neglecting to do may undermine our right to use the ATLAS wordmark at all, so please be diligent about this. The ATLAS communications team can help ensure assets look great and meet our brand standards!

A variety of branding resources can be accessed in the expansion blocks below. For questions about using our identity system or to request an asset not available here, email: atlascommunications@colorado.edu

1. Custom ATLAS wordmark generator: The ATLAS wordmark generator, developed by former ATLAS PhD student Clement Zheng, allows users to design and download an SVG of any variant.

  • Open: ATLAS wordmark generator

  • Select preferred A's: Use left and right arrows, or click "Random" until you see a configuration you like.

  • Color: Downloaded files are SVGs with transparent backgrounds. Files are black by default; for dark backgrounds, switch to a white wordmark by clicking the "dark" link.

  • Download: Right-click on "download SVG: Right-Click>save as" and select "save link as".

  • If you need to convert the SVG to a PNG or another format, use Photoshop, Illustrator, or one of the many free online converters, such as SVGTOPNG.COM.

2. Preformatted ATLAS wordmark as a PNG in either white or black:   ATLAS Black      ATLAS White

3. Research Labs: ATLAS lab logos

4. College and CU Boulder logos: EngineeringCMCICU Boulder

5. B2 Center for Media, Art and Performance: As a public venue, B2 has its own logo, which should be used in conjunction with an ATLAS wordmark and a CU Boulder logo (links above).

Neue Haas Grotesk is used in the ATLAS VIS (visual identity system) to set all supporting type across all printed collateral. Adobe Typekit offers a version of Neue Haas Grotesk; download this font if you plan to create any of the below.

ATLAS photos can be easily accessed on two platforms:

We have dynamic intro and outro graphics to support student and faculty video production.

  • Intro: Dynamic ATLAS wordmark (black and white text versions) on a transparent background (format: MOGRT).
  • Outro: An 8 second MP4 sequenced: Black, ATLAS wordmark, CU Engineering, Black

If you need a different combination of graphics, email requests to atlascommunications@colorado.edu.
