The B2 Center for Media, Arts and Performance houses a two-story, 2,700-square-foot Black Box Experimental Studio, and regularly presents interdisciplinary performances that combine traditional and experimental media of all types, with work from students, faculty and invited guest artists. These works explore new opportunities afforded by technology for performance art at the intersection of music, dance, visual art, theater, film, creative writing, new media, digital poetry, video production, digital cinema, webcasts, and interactive audio and visual performances.
In this state-of-the-art environment, students and faculty seamlessly merge creative endeavors with the latest in digital technology. The center also includes a television production studio adjacent to the Black Box.
Each spring, the B2 Center for Arts, Media and Performance accepts proposals for performances, installations, showings and presentations in B2 for the upcoming academic year.
