Job Posting / Advertisement

  • Unit submits College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Advertisement Template to College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs Manager
    • Draft advertisement reviewed by the College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs Coordinator and submitted to Associate Dean for approval.
    • Once approved, the College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs Coordinator creates Avature job posting.
  • Central Human Resources Talent Acquisition team communicates with unit and search committee to schedule required trainings.

Search and Selection of Finalists

  • Search committee conducts the search and selects finalists.
  • Top finalist identified.
  • Terms of offer discussed between Associate Dean and Chair.
  • Verbal offer is extended to finalist.

Offer Letter

  • Unit submits the following to the College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs Manager:
    • Draft offer letter
      • Template for multiyear 100% Teaching Faculty:
      • Template for 1-year appointments of any percent of time and multi:
    • CV
    • One letter of recommendation
    • Copy of candidate’s diploma or transcript
  • College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs coordinator will review the draft offer letter for compliance with template and approved terms of offer
  • College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs coordinator will submit the draft offer letter to the Associate Dean for review.
  • For 100% appointments:
    • The College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs coordinator will submit the draft offer letter to the Office of Faculty Affairs for review and approval.
    • Once approved by the Office of Faculty Affairs, the College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs Manager routes offer letter for all signatures with cc: to the following:
      • Unit
      • Human Resources Service Center
      • College of Arts and Sciences' Budget Office
      • College Personnel File
    • Appointment entered in HCM (Human Resources software) by Human Resources Service Center
  • For less than 100% appointments:
    • ​The College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs coordinator routes offer letter for all signatures with cc: to the following:
      • Unit
      • Human Resources Service Center
      • College of Arts and Sciences' Budget Office
      • College Personnel File
    • Appointment entered in HCM by Human Resources Service Center​
    • If any changes to the offer letter are needed after approval, fill out an addendum form.

Dispositioning of Candidates and Posting Closing in CU Careers

  • Unit informs Talent Acquisition Coordinator that the finalist has been chosen and the Teaching Assistant Coordinator closes the posting.
