Psychology and Neuroscience Advisor

she, her, hers

Shayna moved across the country twice before finding her home in Colorado! Originally from SoCal, she is passionate about helping her students create their own home here at CU Boulder. As a previous transfer student, she knows that not all educational journeys look the same. Each student is an individual with their own goals, struggles, passions, and desires. Collaboration and support are her two biggest goals for her advising meetings.

Shayna graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Studies in 2020 from Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) during the height of the pandemic. She planned on teaching for most of her life before falling head over heels in love with higher education through student work at Disability Support Services and Graduate Business Advising at CSUF.

Along with Shayna on her grand adventures are her two cats, Josephine and Lambert, who keep her VERY busy. She also enjoys immersive gaming such as Dragon Age and Dungeons & Dragons, and recently got into embroidery! If you don’t have any embroidery tips though, she’ll take a good book recommendation any day.
