I was born and raised in Pueblo County, Colorado, which is about 150 miles south of Boulder. My passion for higher education started as a work-study student in the Financial Aid Office at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), where I earned my BA in Geography and Environmental Studies. After graduating in 2012, I moved to the Mile High City (Denver) where I currently live now. After a few years in Denver, I found myself commuting to UCCS from Denver to obtain my MA in Leadership with an emphasis in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Prior to starting at CU Boulder, I worked at the University of Colorado Denver in Career Services and Scholarships. If I could offer a piece of advice to my students, I would suggest that they be present and engage as much as they can with the campus. I encourage students to take advantage of all of the opportunities CU Boulder can offer, as your college years go by fast. I am here to help if you have any questions!
In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, camping in the mountains and supporting our hometown sports teams (Go Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies & Avs!). I also try to stay active whether it is running at local Denver parks or attending Orangetheory Fitness classes.
