Jade grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado and has since lived in Boulder, Golden, Manitou Springs and Santa Fe. Jade received her BA in studio arts and art history from the University of Colorado Boulder with a focus in ceramics and colonial Latin American art. Jade holds her MA, also from CU Boulder, in colonial Andean and First Nations' art history. Jade is interested in interdisciplinary approaches to teaching, and spent time as an elementary and visual arts and art history high school teacher. Before moving back to Boulder in 2018, Jade was the head curator and registrar of an art gallery in Santa Fe, NM and also served as a professional research assistant in the department of psychology and neuroscience at CU. Jade is also an instructor at both CU Boulder and Metro State University.
Jade enjoys supporting students on their individual paths and in development of multidisciplinary and co-curricular journeys.
In her spare time, Jade loves to rock climb, read books and go hiking with her two cattle dogs.
