Personnel Administration, Arts & Sciences Council Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Arts and Sciences Council Coordinator
    • Provides administrative support to the College of Arts and Sciences Council chair, members, and committees
      • Schedules annual orientation for new personnel committee members
  • Personnel Committee Coordinator
    • Serves as liaison to the College of Arts and Sciences Personnel Committee, Units, and faculty candidates
    • Schedules College of Arts and Sciences Personnel Committee meetings, assigns cases, tracks and records voting
  • Reappointment, Promotion & Tenure – Regular Faculty (Tenure|Tenure Track)
    • Serves as college point of contact for questions related to reappointment, promotion, and tenure processes and related policies
    • Sends annual communication regarding due date for tenure track reviews and notice of faculty up for review
    • Receives reappointment, promotion, and tenure dossiers from Units and processes for review and approval
      • Submits completed document to the Office of Faculty Affairs
    • Proofreads and routes correspondence from College of Arts and Sciences Personnel Committee and Dean’s to the Office of Faculty Affairs
    • Schedules and facilitates tenure-track faculty workshops and new faculty workshops
  • Post Tenure Review (Tenure | Tenure Track)
    • Serves as college point of contact for questions related to faculty post tenure review process and related policies
    • Sends annual communication regarding due date for Post Tenure Reviews and notice of faculty up for review and approval
    • Receives completed Post Tenure Review forms from Units and processes for review and approval
      • Submits completed documents to the Office of Faculty Affairs
    • Submits Post Tenure Review Summary Report to the Office of Faculty Affairs
  • Sabbatical Reports (Tenure | Tenure Track)
    • Receives and processes Sabbatical Leave Reports
  • Awards (Professor of Distinction)
    • Serves as college point of contact for questions related to Professor of Distinction awards
    • Notifies college of guidelines, timelines, and award statuses
    • Receives pre-nominations and processes for review
      • Assigns candidates to College of Arts and Sciences Personnel Committee
      • Solicits external reviewers
