Finance and Operations Manager

D233 (Duane)

Philip earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and began working for CU’s Disability Services when he was a sophomore. His career has taken him all over campus: working at CIRES Outreach and Education; the Financial Service Center serving ANTH, GEOG, CWA, & CHEM; Mechanical Engineering in the Design Center; the CU-CMU partnership; Research Property Services; and most recently, Astrophysical & Planetary Sciences.

His favorite CU memory took place in 2001 when Colorado was playing Nebraska.  He was working in his yard and listening to the game on the radio when he heard the announcer begin counting down the yards of the first big drive of the comeback. Philip dropped everything and yelled, “Go! Go! Go!” From his backyard (about a mile away from Folsom Field), he could hear the roar of the fans watching the game. The Buffs won the game 62-36 and he was so proud to be a CU Buffalo!
