"Collunchium" is a department-funded event where graduate students have a chance to meet with the APS Monday colloquium speaker over lunch. There, students can have a more casual and unstructured conversation with the speaker, learn more about their research and experience, and share their own research in returnthe . Often, talk ranges to broader topics - such as the speaker's academic path and issues affecting the astronomical community - giving the students a chance to learn more about the field from a different perspective.
Collunchium normally meets every Monday from 1:15-2:15 in the JILA tower Sunrise room. Every Friday, an email reminder will be sent with information about the colloquium speaker and a sign-up form to collect personal information (name, dietary restrictions, etc). We ask that students come prepared with questions for the speaker.
Students will be notified of any changes in time or location.
