My work focuses on using polymeric materials to induce stasis within a cell. As part of the biostasis DARPA grant I am exploring the intracellular uptake of macromers and the introduction of molecular crowding with gelation. In complementary studies, I am studying how to reduce the reliance on the cold chain by stabilizing biologics within nanogel materials.
The biostasis DARPA grant is in collaboration with the Bowman (ChBE) and Spencer (Biochemistry) research groups.
