Research Interests:

Injectable hydrogels have shown much promise for the biomedical field in recent years, with regards to both in vitro microfabcrication, as well as clinical applications. However, there are many factors that determine whether or not hydrogels are injectable or shear-thinning, and whether the forces required are suitable for clinical applications. I am currently researching the development of modular, granular hydrogels to expand the library of injectable, cytocompatible hydrogel chemistries. I am interested in investigating the microfabrication of spatiotemporally controlled tissue scaffolds to better emulate complex, dynamic biological niches and effectively direct tissue morphogenesis.
