This service has been replaced by Reserch Computing for most users.

All users will need an identikey to obtain an account. Users must first log into the VPN before gaining access to Newton, Bromwich, Cantor, Herschel, Ramanujan, and Riemann when off campus.

Policies

  1. The Newton machine is not to be used for running simulations. Please use Bromwich, Cantor, Herschel, Ramanujan, or Rieman for this purpose.
  2. Users and user data will be removed from the Newton Lab systems one year after they have left the university.
  3. All critical data that is kept on the system should be backed up by the user elsewhere. There is no guarantee regarding backups or restoration of data.
  4. Your home directory is not for storing data and should not exceed 15Gb. Storing more than this amount causes serious performance issues on all machines.
  5. Misuse of the machines will result in an initial warning. If the misuse is repeated, the user will not be allowed to continue using the resource.
  6. Try to limit your usage to two machines at most, as there are several people who use these resources.
