I am double majoring in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and Spanish with a minor in leadership studies and a certificate in public health. I am a passionate advocate for the right to quality healthcare, and I hope to one day work as a physician for underserved communities around the world. As a student at CU Boulder, I am a member of the CU chapter of GlobeMed, a nonprofit focused on ending global health inequities that is partnered with a grassroots organization in Nepal called Himalayan Healthcare. I also volunteer with Active Minds, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising mental health awareness among college students, and Make-A-Wish Colorado, a foundation that I have been involved with since my sophomore year of high school. Additionally, I am part of the Presidents Leadership Class, a prestigious four-year program at CU that fosters skills through classwork, professional events and community service initiatives. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, painting and watching Spanish telenovelas. I am incredibly honored to receive the ForeverGold scholarship. Thanks to the generous support of the ForeverGold donors, I am better able to pursue my educational goals and the causes I am passionate about. I am so grateful!
