With a collection of over 25,000 photographs, books and other artifacts focused on the history of CU Boulder, the Heritage Center offers many opportunities to enhance your personal and professional research. The research collection includes yearbooks, photographs, student/faculty directories, academic publications, student newspapers/publications, newspaper clippings, sports programs, scrapbooks, alumni publications, sports memorabilia, Greek society memorabilia, personal artifacts and more.

Research Requests

The Heritage Center is currently closed, but the staff can still fulfill research requests.

A staff member will conduct a quick preliminary search of our collection and can conduct up to two hours of research on your behalf. Regretfully, staff cannot conduct in-person searches at other campus or off-site repositories.

To make a research request, email the curator. Please include all known information about your topic, including names (women’s maiden names as well), dates and other relevant details. The more information you provide, the better the chances for a successful search.

We cannot guarantee our investigation will produce results, but we will make every effort to assist you. Included in our response will be reference photographs, a list of the sources consulted in the course of our research and, if applicable, a list of suggested local research locations.
