Dawn Barone is serving as the Associate Director of Forever Buffs Outreach for the Alumni Association at the University of Colorado Boulder. She has over a decade of experience in higher education and has extensive knowledge in community outreach and engagement. Throughout her career in Advancement, she has worked closely with students, alumni, volunteers, and staff to shape tomorrows leaders, strive for innovation, and positively impact the Forever Buffs community.
Dawn has built cross-campus partnerships and collaborated on major projects and spent years fostering engagement for the university. Over the years, Dawn has reshaped the Herd student outreach program to have more of an impact on student leaders, developed programming geared towards serving recent grads, and helping volunteers find ways to get involved. Dawn serves on the leadership team for the Alumni Association and consistently provides input and works to elevate the organization.
Dawn has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and History from the University of Colorado Boulder as well as a minor in Italian. She is passionate about traveling, health and fitness, and the art of wine-collecting. Dawn is married to CU Boulder alumna Chandler Barone and is the proud mother of a Siberian husky named Frisco.
