Aisha Jackson is the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Assistant Vice Provost (AVC/AVP) for academic and learning technologies with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the University of Colorado Boulder. Aisha provides vision, strategic leadership, and direction for academic technology, initiatives, and support services across the spectrum of instructional technology functions at the University of Colorado Boulder. She provides leadership in planning and policy related to digital learning and other instructional technology initiatives that facilitate the achievement of CU Boulder’s strategic goals. Further, Aisha builds partnerships among campus academic support units, working collaboratively to meet student success goals through the strategic implementation of teaching and learning technology

Prior to moving to Colorado, Aisha was a faculty member in the School of Education and Open Campus at the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. She designed, developed, and taught traditional and distant courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the area of Information Technologies in Education. While at UWI, Aisha consulted on national and international grants, and with other higher education institutions in the Caribbean. She also served as the Campus Information Technology Trainer, responsible for leading a team charged with assisting faculty members with adopting Information Technologies to improve teaching, learning, and research. In this role, she organized, facilitated, and evaluated consultations and training on the pedagogical and technical use of a variety of educational technologies.

Aisha earned a BA in Elementary Education from Flagler College, in St. Augustine, Florida and an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educational Technology and Teacher Education, from the University of Florida. Aisha earned her EdD in Educational Leadership, specializing in Professional Learning and Technology, at the University of Colorado Denver.
