Jason Shelton
Advising Supervisor - Physical Sciences

Jason Shelton returns to the Academic Advising Center on his 20th anniversary at CU Boulder after working 11 years in Employee Relations on the Boulder Campus. Jason previously worked as an Academic Advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences and got his start at the university as a recruiter in Office of Admissions.

Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Jason headed east for college, graduating cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. After graduation, he did a brief stint at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying ethics and moral philosophy in their Ph.D. program before returning home to Colorado. Jason later studied law and holds a J.D. from the University of Denver and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2008.

Jason is fulfilling his life-long dream of living in a college town forever and has a passion for all things college. Jason is also an avid CU sports fan and can be found most autumn Saturdays cheering on the Buffs at Folsom Field.
