Eryn is a former award-winning high school English and AVID teacher. While teaching, she coached freshman volleyball. Eryn's teaching experience resulted in many questions about educational equity, which led her to her graduate studies in Educational Foundations, Policy, and Practice (EFPP) at the University of Colorado at Boulder where she received her Master’s of Arts. During her master's program, Eryn focused on transformative teaching practices. While finishing her master's, Eryn began working at the Colorado Education Initiative (CEI) in Denver. While at CEI, Eryn managed its scope of school behavioral health work, assisting districts and schools across Colorado with their school behavioral health policies and practices. Eryn received her B.S. in Secondary Education for English and Journalism at Kansas State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the College of Education's Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award.
In her free time, Eryn enjoys many hobbies including playing the piano and volleyball, skiing, reading online newspapers, and running. She also appreciates spending time with family and friends and indulging in a good cup of coffee. Eryn loves living in Colorado and is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado. With a passion for helping students succeed, Eryn is happy to be working with students again as she thoroughly enjoys collaborating with students to help them achieve their goals.
