The University of Colorado offers more than 3,400 courses each year in about 150 areas of study. As a result choosing a single field of study can be a daunting task.

Our advisors can help you to explore your interests, recommend connections to resources, and trim away possibilities until you are able to move forward. We are interested in helping you design your college experience to maximize your interests, and in turn getting as much out of your time at CU as possible.

We also work in tandem with CU-Boulder Career Services to help you identify your strengths and narrow your interests.

Try thinking about your education this way:

  • Get away from thinking about the classes and majors.
  • How do you want to be remembered? What talents might you need to get there?
  • Be future-minded. What would you like to tell people you accomplished here?
  • Don’t be afraid of electives. Pick something that might surprise you.
  • What’s something that, regardless of major, you’ll put on your résumé?
