Allison Sedey is the academic advisor for the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. She is dually certified as a speech pathologist and audiologist and currently manages a research project examining language development in young children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Allison was raised in Los Angeles and received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from California State University Northridge. Before coming to Boulder in 1995, she spent 8 years living in Wisconsin, teaching, conducting research with children who have Down syndrome, and earning her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
