Scott first came to CU Boulder’s College of Music in 1995 as a doctoral student in Vocal Performance & Pedagogy. His career in advancement began in 2002 when he joined the College of Music as a Development Associate, eventually advancing to the role of Associate Director. Following his time at CU, he spent nearly 10 years as Chief Development Officer at Central City Opera, conceptualizing, launching and leading their “Voice Your Dreams” capital endowment campaign. He returned to the CU College of Music Advancement Team as Senior Director in June 2021.
Born and raised in Louisiana, Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He and his husband, Tom, live in Arvada and have three sons and two adorable granddaughters.
