Hilary Furlong joined the University of Colorado in September of 2015 as the first full-time development director for the BioFrontiers Institute. She brings to CU more than 21 years of fund development management success, and particular expertise in the management of healthcare campaigns and major gift programs.
Prior to joining CU, Hilary served as a Vice President of a fundraising management consulting firm which focused on healthcare and medical research fund raising. Prior to that position, she was the chief development officer for the foundation serving St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center in Sun Valley, Idaho; and ran the fund development program at The Community School, a private K-12 school in Sun Valley. Hilary served as an admission officer for the University of Southern California earlier in her career, so she is looking forward to blending her experience in higher education and healthcare in support of the BioFrontiers Institute’s pioneering work.
Hilary holds a B.A. in English from Vassar College and is recognized as a Certified Fund Raising Executive. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cycling, hiking, yoga, and reading.
